The Holy Bible tells us many times God is no respecter of persons?

Secondly, Jesus is in the God Trinity and thus is God. Furthermore, we are told that we should try to emulate the ways of Jesus. Now then,why should we show other people respect? Why should we not just spit on non-believer while we minister the Word of the Lord? Or is this all more of a "Do as I say, not as I do" kind of thing?
