I'm basicly dating this guy and his EX gf...?

i've been basicly "dating" this guy... he just got out of a 2 years relationship about a month ago.. they broke up then got togther agin then broke up.. now his EX talked to him @ school and he (guy i'm basicly dating) bit**ed her out... does that mean he's through w/ her? and that i could be his FUTURE gf!!
