Is there any way to keep .925 sterling silver from tarnishing?

I make jewelry myself and use sterling silver pretty often. When you are not wearing (uming it is jewelry) it keep it in a closed container that is airtight. A ziplock bag would work. Also those little packets of silica gel you find in new purses and shoes and other products will prevent tarnishing. Keep a little packet of that in the ziplock with the piece of jewelry and it should help.
