Dreaming under anesthesia?

Several months back, I had surgery. When anesthesia was administered, I had the strangest experience, and I am curious if there is a precedent for this. As the anesthesia was taking effect, my head felt heavy, I slurred words, and I felt myself losing control of my body (nothing out of the ordinary). But I wasn't going out. I saw nothing but white, and while I could still feel somewhat, I felt removed from my body but I could talk and was maintaining some verbal contact with the surgeon and nurses. Then I started to panic, as I realized I was not losing consciousness. Finally, I felt myself go out, only I didn't really. I kept having the sensation of going out, only repeating over and over. Then, I had the strangest nightmare. It was almost like an out of body experience. Everything was white, and there were strange fragments of memories that made no sense. Finally, I ended up talking to somethings, and they made it clear I was in Hell. However, it was a Hell of infinite nothingness. ?

My doctor told me yesterday that I was lucky- we almost lost you were his exact words. I was recently diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia- a B12 deficiency. I suffered for 3 long years with debilitating illness that I stopped working full-time and only worked 16 hours a week. I went to see every specialist in the medical field and not one could find anything wrong with me. I was fatigued, shaky, has severe acid reflux (I would throw up after every meal), I was sick all the time, I couldn't make it up the stairs or walk around the house- I was barely taking care of myself- bathing would cause me to faint so I took sink baths. My doctor sent me to a cardiologist because my EKG was off the charts. Finally, after fainting in the grocery store- my doctor took blood work and the results showed my hemoglobin level was 5.9- she gave me a bunch of iron pills and told me to see a hematologist and gastro doc. My gastro doctor told me there was nothing wrong with me six weeks prior, so I didn't go back to her. She had performed 5 procedures already where I had undergone anesthesia and I wasn't interested in going under again- the last time I felt like I was having a heart attack. I contacted the hematologist and couldn't get an appointment for another six weeks. I was dying and no one knew why. Fast forward two weeks, I finally called the gastro doctor who saw me the same day, she insisted that I go the hospital for a blood transfusion- so sick and unable to walk I did. After my lab work, I was told my condition was critical and I was admitted into the hospital. After 2 blood transfusions, they still didn't know why I was so ill. hematologists blood and finally a diagnosis- Pernicious Anemia. I stayed at the hospital for a week and received another transfusion. A visiting nurse came to my house every day for 2 weeks to administer a B12 injection, now I have an injection every week for 3 months- after that once a month for the rest of my life. I have been unable to work- I work in retail, I stand 8 hours a day. I was told I have neurological damage because I went for so long without B12 in my body. I am still very fatigued and unable to stand for long periods of time without feeling faint. My acid reflux is gone, Irritable Bowel Syndrome is gone- but I have pains in my chest and extreme tiredness, even with sleep. I need more time to heal. My problem is, my doctor said I have his permission to be sick but he hasn't responded to my disability claim.

A couple of minutes ago... Help with Drum Tuning?

Now I am a very bad drum tuner(er), and I would love to be able to play drums that sound right. I cant get them to ever sound very good (no matter how well you play you cant make them sound good). I was thinking of getting one of those drum dials to help, but I don't know how well they work. When I was a kid I had frequent ear infections, and frequently had strep throat. I had a betta in the smaller tank for a while before I learned the horrors of them. But yes, you can do 100% changes often, just make sure to add a tap water conditioner. I had a beta in a .5 gal for almost a year with 100% water changes every week, and he was a healthy bugger! Now looking back, I have no idea how he was alive and healthy for so long. Yikes! Anyway, good for you on getting him a bigger tank. I am sure he will be fine until his new tank is ready.

Hi! I would suggest going to Paestum in Southern Italy. It's a great place to see ancient ruins. In Sicily Cefalu is a great small town right on the sea that not too many tour companies go to. Of course you have Agrigento, Palermo and such which have great places to see as well. Don't be afraid to ask the locals while your there. It all depends what areas your going to be in. If your going through a tour company they are going to keep ya on the path where most tourists go, but don't be afraid to go off on your own after the tour is over and explore!

I only ask because my cat wasn't feeling very good one morning but she was still responsive and I thought maybe she was just tired and had a bit of a bug and thought I would wait to come hoime after work and book an appointment with my vet for the followoing day if she still didn't seem right. When I got home however, she was hiding in the basement, vomit was present in three or four spots, her litter box was filled with 2 or 3 very runny poos and she was just depressed looking and very lethargic. I started to cry and called my vet, but of course they couldn't take her as they were by appointment so I rushed her to ER. She is doing great now and feeling much better and is on meds. This was due to her running wild in the alleys for four days (I cried the whole time looking for her!) and most likely getting an infection from eating garbage. i used to own a schecter damien fr. It was a pretty damn good sounding guitar. It had the licensed floyd rose and it stays in tune just fine as long as you set up the floyd rose properly. I make jewelry myself and use sterling silver pretty often. When you are not wearing (uming it is jewelry) it keep it in a closed container that is airtight. A ziplock bag would work. Also those little packets of silica gel you find in new purses and shoes and other products will prevent tarnishing. Keep a little packet of that in the ziplock with the piece of jewelry and it should help.

Is this a proper cage for two bettas?

i have a dual betta cage that has a clear divider in between them. The problem is that they obviously see eachother because it is clear and they are constanly flaring their gills and running into the divider. Is this cruel? I have a 4lb Yorkshire terrier. I took her out today in an open field of leash to let her play. She is very fast and saw a rabbit and chased after it full speed. I was running to catch up but she was about 60-90 feet ahead of me. Just then I saw a great horned owl(im more than positive)with a mive wingspan swoop down pick her up and carry her off in the in the sky over the woods. I yelled and screamed and ran after it and everything. I ran home and told my mom. She went out driving looking for her while I looked in the woods for a nest that might have her in it(and we have a lot of owl nests).I am completely devastated. Do I have Social Anxiety Disorder?

Alright so I think I have Social Anxiety Disorder. This is because I never want to go anywhere like Christmas parties or baby showers because I'm scared to see anyone in my family. Especially my cousins. I get nervous when anyone I don't know very well either comes to my house or someone's house I'm at. I ALWAYS ask who's going to be at certain places that I'm going too. Also, the first few weeks of every school year, I always get queasy and self concious. There's also a lot more too. I'm 12 years old. Do I have Social Anxiety Disorder or am I just shy? FYI, I've been like this since I was little. I also wanna know if there's a certain way I should address my parents about this and if any of you have SAD, what are some exercises you do to calm yourself in these situations or to temporarily dismiss the feelings of anxiety. Why is my friend acting like this?

I have been friends with Ryan since we were in third grade. We live close to each other so our moms are friends too. Ryan has also been friends with Jack, another boy in our neighborhood. Should I go through an adoption agency or choose the private adoption option?

I am currently pregnant with an unplanned pregnancy and I am looking at the adoption option. I want to provide my baby with the utmost care since I am unable to care for it. I wouldn't really mind going through an agency but it seems that the mother wouldn't get any advantages, like picking out the family, "honest" open adoptions (what if they dont keep in contact?) or you cant get money through an agency. Am I awful for being spiteful of my best friend's pregnancy?

My best friends is pregnant and I feel very spiteful towards her. My husband & I tried to get pregnant for a couple of mos., but for medical reasons were not able to. Because of the religious pressure that my parents put on me when I was younger, I daily became more resentful. I had enlisted in the military at 18, packed my bags, left a note on the table and walked to the bus station. I always looked back on the incident and said that was my independence/freeing moment in life. I eventually went to college and got a master's degree. My family always looks to me, because of lack of education, to help bail them out of problem situations, but now that my only sibling started going to church, I am a huge outsider. I'm very proud to stand up for my beliefs now. I do love my family. They just make it very difficult to love them. My brother and dad are both disabled with incurable health problems. However, my mom keeps saying god is going to heal them which is just unrealistic. I have noticed that full gospel people attribute good fortune to god - bad fortune --> to the devil or "It's not in god's timing!" That is mighty convenient! Thoughts? Experiences?

I normally just shrug or roll my eyes at how Britney Spears is covered in the media, because she's out there so muh. From being on various websites, in various magazines and etc, it's a bit much. Fellow Atheists: Would you favor making religious practice illegal?

I know this is a controversial view and only a minority of atheists are bold enough to make this proclamation, but I would make it like the DUI system in that first time offenders would not be punished severely, but habitual offenders would be locked away for extended periods of time. I believe that christians willfully inflict punishment to the best of their ability on non-believers that resist evangelical efforts; I also believe that christian ideology paves the way for a sociopathic society that idolizes money (not to mention is an aggressive religion that is responsible for several bloody wars throughout history and they are being continued today.) I can't speak for all atheists, but I feel that any religion is dangerous; christianity is especially dangerous to those of us living in the U.S. because it has had a direct impact on our lives. Therefore, I feel that we have a civic duty, or a "calling" if you will, to disprove this set of beliefs and vehemently oppose any efforts of the church. Furthermore, atheists should do anything in their power to get all religions out of the public arena, if not outlawed.

Such is the hysteria in some places and even though a broken broom stick out of the janitors closet would be more of a weapon sais are still clified as such. I would talk to the principle and show him a picture of them and explain they are a traditional martial arts weapon which really means that was actually a farm implement and used as a weapon by the peasants and farmers since they were not allowed to have bladed weapons during feudal times. You might also add that many tournaments are held at such schools on weekends and unsharpend weapons are there and weapons competitions are held at most such tournaments were martial artist like yourself demonstrate their skill with them and there is never any issue with that ever raised. Can I join the U.S. Navy with a misdemeanor on my record?

About a year ago i was charged with a misdemeanor for possesion of marijuana. I do not smoke weed at all, and i was in a "friends" car when it happened. Being within arms reach of some pot, they charged me with possesion. I was recently turned away from the army because of this. I would like to know if the navy would accept someone like me with this on their record. As far as i know...the millitary was accepting felons a few years ago with waivers, and now the army is downsizing....

I will be a junior this coming school year and I am wondering how much I will need to improve in order to get into a good college. My PSAT scores are: Critical Reading- 53 Mathematics- 47 Writing- 58. This year I advanced to state with a team in my school's agriculture program. Throughout High School, I have been 1st chair in our Concert Band, participated in 3 UIL events, became a member of my church's youth group, was a part of our schools One-Act Play, was admitted into the National Honors Society, and finished my sopre year with no absences and a weighted 98 average in all of my core cles. My neutered male cat is constantly bullying my spayed female cat. What's wrong and how can I stop it?

My male cat is about 9 months old and he's a Maine coon. We had him fixed a few months ago. He isn't de-clawed though. We got our female cat about 6 months after we got the male. She is a small black cat. She is both spayed and de-clawed. They seem to get along 50% of the time, washing each other and playing nicely. The other 50% of the time however, my male cat is hunting her down, pouncing on her, biting her pretty hard and keeping her pinned down with his teeth and claws. She cries and tries to run away but just is not match for him. Is there a reason he's doing this? And any ideas on how to stop it?

This is going to piss off a lot of people including the author the book and now movie series "Diary of a Wimpy kid" but you know I don't give a rat. Firstly, the actor that plays FRED probably can act but he needs a better movie than FRED and Fred is even unrated. Me I'd give it a "X" not for adult content but "X" as in unknown. The movie just wanders. My kids in 2nd grade were watching it...it's horrible. FRED took a bath fully clothed in suspenders. Then in one point he dresses up in drag to throw off his rival. Can I Really Die From ODing On This?

Alright, so on Tuesday I experienced my first ROCKSTAR energy drink. I drank it around 6:30pm that evening and was up until 9pm on Wednesday night. I crashed until 3pm on Thursday. So on Thursday when my dad was going to the grocery store, I asked him to pick up another ROCKSTAR for me. He did and I finished within 30 minutes. So today is Friday I had to go to an ELP meeting and I wanted to walk. But on my way home I stopped by a gas station and got another ROCKSTAR. So I've drunken 32oz of ROCKSTAR in a matter of 24 hours. Now I'm experiencing body tremors like when you're really cold. They're involuntary and I can't make them stop. Every part of me is shaking. I don't suppose I'm addicted to caffeine but I could be wrong. Is it normal? I love beverages like coffee (not with beans, but like espresso, cappuccino, etc.) and ROCKSTAR. What do you do with a puppy that won't behave?

My terrier is 4 months old. We are using the crate training method of house breaking. We've had him 5 weeks and he is not fully housebroken. We take him out for 20 minutes to 1/2 hour 5 times a day and let him run and play in our large yard. We don't bring him in until he pees and poops. He'll poop 3 X a day. Then we bring him in to have some freedom in the house, in a confined room. The minute my back is turned he is into EVERYTHING! He has access to plenty of his own toys and I give him dog biscuits for dessert and 1 dental chew bone a day. Still, he will grab your ankles as you walk by, grab your clothing, shew the furniture, my baskets, unravel my yarn and absolutely anything he can get his teeth into. He still has accidents, and when I try to cuddle with him at night when I watch TV he will only bite my arms and hands. He does this to everyone, not just me. I love my baby even though his behavior is less than desired, but I raised sheepdogs for 20 years and I have no experience with this. I am not afraid of my puppy, he doesn't make me nervous, I continue to establish myself as alpha dog, he's a tiny terror, any advice?
